Lib Dems - SNP not grapsed the severity of economic situation

Commenting on the updated economic recovery plan released today by the Scottish Government, Liberal Democrat Finance spokesman Jeremy Purvis MSP said:

“With latest official figures showing that private sector investment in Scotland is at a third of the rate in 2005, the Scottish Government needs more than anything else to remove the chaos of the Scottish Futures Trust.

“They also need to remove the confusion over whether private investment is welcome in Scotland.

“The SNP simply have not grasped the severity of the economic situation that we are in.”
