SNP not done enough to prepare schools for Curriculum for Excellence5.08.06pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 25th May 2010 Commenting on the website launched by the Government today in the run up to the full roll out of Curriculum for Excellence in August, Liberal Democrat Education spokesperson Margaret Smith MSP said: “The Education Secretary is right to point out that education is all about our young people; that is why teachers and parents are so concerned about how unprepared schools are for the planned roll out of Curriculum for Excellence in August. “The Government has not done nearly enough to prepare pupils and teachers for this biggest change to education in a generation and a website will not go far to allay the fears of teachers and parents. “We need to see real and fast action from the Government to make sure that we get the roll out of the new curriculum right. “We cannot afford to mess around with our children and young people’s future.”
