James MacLaren - A Strong Voice for Forth and Endrick
“My name is James MacLaren and I am
delighted to be the Scottish Liberal
Democrat candidate for the Forth and
Endrick by-election.
I grew up in Drymen and attended
Balfron Secondary School
I’m a qualified engineer, and over the
course of my career, I’ve been fortunate
to work in different countries and
industries, including defence, space, oil
and gas.
In 2014, I returned home to Stirlingshire
to raise my family. In my free time, I'm a
keen hill walker and now a Munro
“completer”.
"As your local councillor,
my main job
will be to listen to you".
It’s been great speaking to people from
all across the ward and finding out
what matters to them. They want to see
action on a range of issues, whether
that’s better drain cleaning, tackling
potholes, flooding on roads, improving
waste collection and cracking down on
problems like fly tipping.
It's also hugely important that we
ensure people can trust their taxes are
being spent wisely, providing the
services that the local area needs to
thrive.
This is one of the most beautiful parts
of the world. I am determined to be a
strong local champion who can deliver
for everyone in Forth and Endrick.”
As your local councillor, I will
always put local people
ahead of politics.
On the 1st of October
